Description
This stunning 1980s pink/black check silk chiffon two-piece outfit designed by Caroline Charles, with coordinating pink Jaeger belt. Size 12 UK. 10 US. 38 Europe. Dry clean only. Very versatile, formal or casual, this exceptional outfit can be configured into different outfits. Blouse top approximately 55cms from neck to hem, skirt length 83cms. Top lined in black with matching fabric covered buttons to back fastening. 3/4 length sleeves, padded shoulders. Skirt pleated to waistband also fully lined.
Designed by Caroline Charles Order of the British Empire (OBE). She became one of the exclusive breed of "Royal Designers. "Designed the official scarf to mark the 40th anniversary of the accession of HM The Queen Elizabeth 2nd.Her clients include: Prince Charles (Tartan suit for the Braemar Games). Diana, Princess of Wales, Ringo Star, Petula Clark, Madame Pompidou, Barbra Streisand, Lulu, Marianne Faithfull, Mick Jagger, Cilla Black, Jodie Kidd, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Kristin Scott Thomas, Andie McDowell, Emma Thompson, Helen Mirren.
Her work has been celebrated at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and has received a British Fashion Council Award.
