Description
Beautifully formed, the body is a lovely baluster shape which stands on a single circular foot. The pull-off top is neatly pierced with graduating vertical lines adding to the wonderful art deco appearance and there is a neat finial to the top. Clear, crisp hallmarks are visible on one side for Sheffield for 1937 along with the maker's marks for the renowned silversmiths: Mappin & Webb. Partial hallmarks can also be seen on the lip of the lid.
A fine quality piece which feels lovely to hold and is a good size. It would make a wonderful gift for an occasion like a wedding or silver wedding anniversary.
Condition: In great antique collector's condition.
