A museum piece cutaway engineers display of a starting system/compressor drive from a Rolls Royce Derwent Jet Engine from 1943.

This jet engine was a follow on from the first kerosene powered jet engine developed by Sir Frank Whittle and Rover. It is also the predecessor of the Rolls Royce Trent Engine of modern times.
