Rare Late 19th Century Travelling Chess Set. With impressed mark "In Statu Quo Jaques Patentee London"
With carved and turned stained bone chess pieces and original slip case. The folding case being Mahogany with a Boxwood and Rosewood chess board and has a locking mechanism so when the case is closed the chess pieces do not fall off the board.
